Engineering Association for Development and Environment, (EADE ) on 25th February held a counseling session with ALP schools Head teachers. EADE invited 26 head teachers from west Mosul , Three supervisors , ALP coordinator in Ninawa DoE and The general Manger of staff in Niawa DoE. During the session many important topics have been discussed. EADE with partnership with SOROUH and UNSECO , is implementing back to school project. The project will target 13000 Out-of School-children (OOSC) aged 10-to14. 18000 kits will be distributed, train 125b teachers on PSS and train 50 teachers on Mine Risk.

Project Manager:

Overall objective

Under direction and supervision of line manager, Staff ensures execution of transparent and efficient work processes in line with the Program and in coordination with other EADE Departments.

Specific objectives and linked activities

  • The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities with which we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.
  • Provide leadership, coordination and guidance on all matters pertaining to the smooth implementation of the Project,
  • In coordination and consultation with EADE management and project Strategy are regularly updated and implemented;
  • Managing the program field teams and ensuring that they are wholly involved in program planning, direction, and implementation thereof
  • Manage, monitor and report on all activities being carried out by the project implementing staff.
  • Develops engagement strategy to encompass areas affected by Project activities.
  • Provide technical inputs and guidance and ensure that technical quality and standards are considered during project implementation:
  • Collect technical information and analyze associated opportunities and risks; as well as identify and collaborate with relevant technical authorities and partners;
  • Develop team capacity at both the individual and group level by organizing/ facilitating trainings internally or through specialist agencies / individuals.
  • responsible for the management of project staff and for ensuring that all field teams are comprehensively briefed on the objective, expected output and overall implementation strategy of any given activity. The Project Manager shall ensure that Project staff are given training and complete all the necessary documentation in line with program requirements.
  • Project Manager shall ensure that he/she regularly meets with HR, Finance, and Logistics Departments to ensure that support mechanisms such as the Budget Follow Up, Procurement plan, and recruitment are completed on time and reflect operational realities/needs.
  • Set work plans and manage project’s activities to achieve the project goals and draft weekly and Monthly reports to be submitted to the Program operation manager and collaborate closely with
  • the Partner unit as part of monitoring and evaluation activities. He/she will be expected to provide reports covering activity implementation, achievement of objectives, successes / challenges, beneficiary feedback, etc.
  • Develop and maintain positive interactions with local government officials (to facilitate approvals, document processing, and understanding of proposed and pending changes in regulations/other operating strategies).
  • The Project Manager is expected to facilitate trainings or program coordination meetings by leading discussions. Moreover, he/she shall be in a position to present EADE and programmatic strategies and activities in camp meetings or for Local Authorities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities and require a group of people to work together to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.
  • Prepares/implements meeting plans, meeting documentation, identification of key issues and NGOs follow-up and Participates in internal meetings, staff meeting, roundtable discussions, and consultations as appropriate
  • Provide Performance evaluation of the staff under His / Her Line Management
  • Assist in writing proposals for any new projects
  • Undertake any other task assigned to him by the direct supervisor.

  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

Coordinator:

Overall objective

  • Provide Guidance to the Team members, and coordinate activities with other EADE sectors, i.e. Protection, Education.
  • Monitor, evaluate and suggest changes and improvements in the project and materials based on observations and discussions with the local staff and the PM.
  • Document technical issues and questions, and channel to the PM.
  • Support in development of proposals and budgets for education activities.
  • If applicable, support Cluster co-lead management; serve as liaison with stakeholders.
  • Any other task relevant to the position as requested by line manager

Field Monitor

Overall objective

Specific objectives and linked activities

  • Facilitate communication with all members of the project team, relevant staff in other departments/teams and external stakeholders as relevant. Send/receive and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail/faxes/letters/documents.
  • Support activities in the field throughout the implementation process, according to detailed plans. Activities will likely include support for assessments, livelihoods registration and selection steps, workshops on business planning, cash grant distributions, and monitoring.
  • Provide specialized project administrative transactions and processes (e.g. translate, type, proofread, and/or format documents; record and transcribe meeting minutes; draft correspondence messages).
  • Prepare transactional documents in support of project operations processes and support and facilitate coordination of transaction processing (e.g. payment requests, etc.).
  • Compile and manage data, perform data entry and data verification in relation to project administration and implementation processes (e.g. contact lists, beneficiary information, beneficiary documentation, indicator tracking sheets).
  • Support travel and logistics arrangements for staff and visitors. Schedule and coordinate appointments. Provide logistical and communication support to event planning activities.
  • Support implementation of property management processes, such as property receipt and distribution, property labeling, physical counts, etc.

  • Coordinate and plan data collection jointly with Project Coordinator
  • Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection, as needed
  • Attend trainings on methodology, approach, data collection tools, and measures
  • Ensure that the assigned data collection areas/ beneficiaries are covered within the timeline.
  • Submit completed data taking sheets on a daily basis, if not possible
  • Promptly communicate the status for data collection and challenges faced in data collection on a daily basis.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative field monitoring and verification of project implementation
  • Ensure that monitoring data are reported on a timely manner to relevant program and managerial staff
  • Any other task relevant to the position as requested by Coordinator or Project Manager

  • Opening vehicle doors and assisting passengers/loading cargo/loading baggage
  • Keeping exterior of vehicle clean and presentable
  • Maintaining vehicle equipment; replacing oil, filling gas tank, general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety
  • Cleaning windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
  • Keeping interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
  • Loading and unloading vehicle
  • If needed, collecting payments, documenting amount, and offering receipts
